We do quality work, we take care of our people, and we are growing.</p><p><strong>The Job</strong></p><p>You will be in the field every day diagnosing and fixing commercial refrigeration systems — walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, reach-in units, and more. Your customers are restaurants, convenience stores, schools, and hospitals. When their equipment goes down they need someone who can fix it right.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Installation and Maintenance</strong></p><ul><li>Install, test, and commission refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and HVAC systems.</li><li>Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to ensure system efficiency and prevent breakdowns.</li><li>Charge refrigeration systems with the appropriate refrigerant and verify proper operation.</li></ul><p><strong>Repairs & Troubleshooting:</strong></p><ul><li>Diagnose and repair refrigeration system malfunctions, including compressors, condensers, expansion valves, and electrical controls.</li><li>Identify and fix leaks, replace worn components, and ensure systems operate within manufacturer specifications.</li><li>Utilize specialized tools, such as refrigerant recovery equipment and pressure gauges, for accurate diagnostics.</li></ul><p><strong>Compliance & Safety:</strong></p><ul><li>Follow local, state, and federal regulations regarding refrigerant handling (EPA Section 608 Certification required).</li><li>Adhere to workplace safety standards, including OSHA guidelines, to prevent hazards such as electrical shocks or refrigerant exposure.</li><li>Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, refrigerant usage, and system performance reports.</li></ul><p><strong>Customer Service & Communication:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide professional customer service when interacting with clients and explaining repair needs.</li><li>Recommend system upgrades or preventative maintenance solutions to extend equipment life.</li><li>Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding job progress and technical issues.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications & Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>EPA Section 608 Certification</li><li>3-5 years of experience in refrigeration installation, maintenance, and repair.</li><li>Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.</li><li>Proficiency with hand and power tools used in refrigeration work.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment & Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to lift and carry heavy tools and equipment (50+ lbs.).</li><li>Work in various environments, including cold storage facilities, restaurants, grocery stores, and outdoor locations.</li><li>Exposure to extreme temperatures, refrigerants, and electrical components.</li><li>May require on-call availability, overtime, and travel to job sites in a company-provided vehicle.</li></ul><p><strong>What You Get</strong></p><ul><li>Weekly pay</li><li>Newer diesel Mercedes Sprinter van</li><li>Company tools and Fluke meters provided</li><li>Yearly boot voucher</li><li>Health, dental, vision, and life insurance</li><li>HSA</li><li>401(k) with 4% company match</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Real path to advancement — we promote from within</li></ul><p><strong>Why Andrews</strong></p><ul><li>Steady work year round</li><li>A team that treats you like a person not a number</li><li>30 years in business — we are not going anywhere</li></ul><p> </p>
