<div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://secure.neogov.com/images/AgencyImages/jobposting/2580/jobpostings/image/Logo-1-wo-tag.png" data-id="null" data-name="Logo-1-wo-tag.png" alt="Logo-1-wo-tag.png" data-url="https://secure.neogov.com/images/AgencyImages/jobposting/2580/jobpostings/image/Logo-1-wo-tag.png" style="width: 258px;" class="fr-fic fr-dii"></div><br><p data-pasted="true">The purpose of this position is to enforce applicable codes of the City of Grand Prairie.  This is accomplished by conducting inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties; issuing citations and violations notices; and entering of required data for case history record keeping.  Other duties include providing customer service to the public and other departments.</p><br><br><ul style="padding-left: 2rem; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 3pt; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;" data-pasted="true"><li>Patrolling the City for code violations relevant to the division assigned. </li><li>Reviewing and responding to complaints received.</li><li>Scheduling and conducting inspections, walk-throughs, or tours of locations, sites, building or property as appropriate.  </li><li>Noting violations of code and issuing citations.</li><li>Compiling inspection reports and notifying chain of command, owners, and others as appropriate. </li><li>Completing administrative duties such as answering calls, providing information to the public and other departments as requested, compiling data/reports, completing relevant documents/forms; and maintaining records.</li><li>May participate in implementation and maintenance of programs, incentives, or community education relevant to the division and role</li><li>May report information to any Board, City Council, Departmental or other such organizations relevant to the division and public for the position assigned</li><li>May supervise personnel functioning as a lead worker to assist in training, providing guidance, instruction, and feedback. </li><li>All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division.</li></ul><undefined><br></undefined><br><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt;" data-pasted="true"><li><strong>Education:</strong> High School Diploma, G.E.D or equivalent supplemented by some college level course work.</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> Two (2) years.</li><li><strong>Licenses</strong>: Valid Driver's License required. </li><li><strong>Certifications Required: </strong>Ability to obtain Code Enforcement Officer License within six (6) months.</li></ul><undefined><br></undefined>
