YouTube video editor with taste for storytelling & vibes (partnership if it goes well)

I am looking for a YouTube editor to help take over the editing of my videos. I generally edit them myself, but I currently don't have any time. I have a specific style and aesthetic that I'm after, and it's generally very simple and minimalistic.

I generally create educational and tutorial style content. It's usually medium to long form, so anywhere from ten minutes up to an hour. There's usually lots of raw content, but I try to keep it pretty organized, so it's easier to do a rough cut and get all the relevant clips.

The main part of the video that I want extra focus on is the pacing and when to cut and really understanding what I'm trying to say. So I need the candidate to be a native English speaker and very strong so that you can understand subtleties and even subtle humor.

I'll provide examples of what I mean if you're selected.

I'm also someone that loves the idea of video creation and structure and storytelling. Creators like Colin and Samir are really inspiring in terms of their educational content. I'm not saying I want to create videos like them, but the way they pace their videos and the script is something I want to work towards.

Basically what I'm trying to say is I would ideally love to work with someone long term. but also someone who has that eye for how to structure even an educational video or storytelling and work with me if they have suggestions and creative ideas and things like that. I don't want you to purely just be an editor, if that makes sense. If this can become more of a long-term partnership, I would be really happy.

I really don't like the current standard of templated YouTube videos where they all have the same script, they all have the same editing style, and And they all have the same sort of thumbnails. I'm usually someone that makes the thumbnails myself but if you start understanding and picking up on the aesthetic Can style and want to take over that, I would be more than happy for you to do so, and you'll also be compensated for it.

To apply:

Please record a short Loom video going over your thoughts of my proposal and Any videos you've made that you think would fit my aesthetic. If you don't have video examples, but you can find videos of what you think I mean, then please show that too. Some YouTube channels that I like are Reysu, MKBHD, Thomas Flight, Casey Neistat etc.

Software:

i'm someone that typically uses Da Vinci Resolve to edit, so that would be preferred. That way you could pass me files if I needed to do a quick pass on anything or check the cut. However, obviously I would prefer full autonomy from your end. So we could make this as smooth as possible.
