Senior UX/UI Designer | $3.5K-$4.5K USD Monthly + Remote | US Digital Health & AI Innovation Company

Job Description

Company Description

Your final salary will be determined at the end of the interview process based on your professional background, experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.

ARE YOU READY TO HELP DESIGN DIGITAL PRODUCTS THAT IMPROVE LIVES, TRANSFORM INDUSTRIES, AND SOLVE COMPLEX REAL-WORLD PROBLEMS?

THIS IS A CAREER-DEFINING OPPORTUNITY FOR THE RIGHT PERSON.

Our client is a U.S.-based digital product innovation company that partners with healthcare organizations, startups, Fortune 500 companies, and industry innovators to build impactful software products that create meaningful business and user outcomes.

Their work spans Digital Health, Artificial Intelligence, SaaS platforms, enterprise software, healthcare innovation, product strategy, and startup incubation. Their products help organizations improve patient experiences, streamline operations, unlock new business opportunities, and bring innovative ideas to market.

THIS IS NOT A TRADITIONAL UI DESIGN ROLE.

We are not looking for someone who simply creates beautiful screens and waits for requirements to be handed to them.

This role is heavily focused on UX design, product thinking, workflow design, and user experience strategy, not just visual design.

On a typical week, you may be working with stakeholders to understand business requirements, mapping user journeys and workflows, creating wireframes and prototypes, collaborating with engineers on product decisions, conducting usability reviews, and helping improve the overall user experience of complex digital products.

The ideal candidate enjoys understanding users, solving business problems, simplifying complexity, and creating experiences that drive measurable outcomes.

Who We're Looking For

  • We are looking for a builder.
  • A self-starter.
  • A proactive problem solver.
  • Someone who takes ownership and gets things done.

You are naturally curious and enjoy asking questions to fully understand problems before designing solutions.

You are comfortable operating with ambiguity and figuring things out without needing constant direction.

You take pride in producing high-quality work, communicating clearly, and driving projects forward.

You enjoy collaborating with engineers, product leaders, founders, stakeholders, and clients to transform ideas into intuitive product experiences.

Who We're NOT Looking For

This role is probably not a fit if:

  • You require constant supervision or direction.
  • You prefer highly structured environments where every task is assigned for you.
  • You only enjoy visual design and have limited interest in UX, research, workflows, discovery, or product thinking.
  • You are uncomfortable working directly with stakeholders, clients, or cross-functional teams.
  • You wait for problems to be solved by others rather than proactively finding solutions.

Company Culture

Our client has built a strong reputation for investing in people and creating long-term career opportunities.

We have successfully hired approximately 6-10 professionals for this company across Colombia, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

Many team members have earned promotions, expanded their responsibilities, and continue to build long-term careers within the organization.

The team values ownership, collaboration, curiosity, innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth.

Benefits

  • Remote work
  • Company provided MacBook
  • National holidays observed
  • 10 PTO days during Year 1
  • 15 PTO days starting Year 2 and beyond
  • Weekends off
  • Flexible schedule
  • USD salary
  • Growth opportunities
  • Collaborative and supportive team environment

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to lead UX focused design initiatives across healthcare technology, AI-powered applications, SaaS platforms, enterprise software, and digital transformation projects.

This is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for helping shape product experiences from discovery through final delivery.

You will work directly with engineers, product leaders, founders, stakeholders, and clients to design intuitive, scalable, and impactful digital products that solve meaningful, real-world problems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end UX and UI design initiatives from discovery through delivery.
  • Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, workflow analysis, and usability evaluations.
  • Design user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity user experiences.
  • Translate complex business requirements and workflows into intuitive product experiences.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and collaborative design discussions.
  • Partner closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Advocate for accessibility, usability, and user-centered design best practices.
  • Present design recommendations and strategic UX decisions to internal teams and clients.

Qualifications

  • 4-7+ years of UX/UI Design, Product Design, or Digital Product Design experience.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating complex digital products, SaaS platforms, enterprise applications, workflow systems, or technology products.
  • Exceptional English communication skills (C1+ minimum).
  • Experience conducting user research, discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and usability testing.
  • Strong expertise in user flows, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design.
  • Advanced proficiency with Figma, FigJam, and modern product design tools.
  • Experience working closely with software engineers and cross-functional product teams.
  • Self-starter mentality with a proven ability to operate independently and drive projects forward.

Nice To Have

  • Experience working within software consulting firms, product agencies, startup studios, or fast-growing technology companies.
  • Experience with accessibility standards and inclusive design best practices.

Common Interview Questions And Answers

1. HOW DO YOU PLAN YOUR DAY?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
