Senior Medical Affairs Manager – Value, Evidence, and Outcomes

The Company

Dexcom Corporation (NASDAQ DXCM) is a pioneer and global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Dexcom began as a small company with a big dream: To forever change how diabetes is managed. To unlock information and insights that drive better health outcomes. Here we are 25 years later, having pioneered an industry. And we're just getting started. We are broadening our vision beyond diabetes to empower people to take control of health. That means personalized, actionable insights aimed at solving important health challenges. To continue what we've started: Improving human health.

We are driven by thousands of ambitious, passionate people worldwide who are willing to fight like warriors to earn the trust of our customers by listening, serving with integrity, thinking big, and being dependable. We've already changed millions of lives and we're ready to change millions more. Our future ambition is to become a leading consumer health technology company while continuing to develop solutions for serious health conditions. We'll get there by constantly reinventing unique biosensing-technology experiences. Though we've come a long way from our small company days, our dreams are bigger than ever. The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us.

Meet the team:

At Dexcom, Medical Affairs transforms scientific evidence into meaningful impact for people and the healthcare systems that serve them. The Value, Evidence, and Outcomes (VEO) team sits at the intersection of clinical science, real-world evidence, healthcare quality, population health, and market access, helping shape how innovative technologies improve care and inform healthcare decision-making.

As a Senior Medical Affairs Manager – VEO, you will serve as a recognized scientific expert and strategic thought partner within Global Medical Affairs. You will partner across the enterprise and engage external healthcare stakeholders to shape evidence-based strategies that advance healthcare quality, value, access, and outcomes. If you enjoy solving complex challenges, influencing strategy through science, and working in a highly collaborative environment, this is an opportunity to help transform healthcare and shape the future of human health.

Where you come in:

  • You lead value, evidence, and outcomes initiatives that support Dexcom’s evidence-based strategy across products, populations, care settings, and healthcare decision-making environments.
  • You develop scientifically rigorous medical resources that translate clinical, real-world, health economic, quality, and outcomes evidence into clear, balanced communications for internal and external stakeholders.
  • You serve as a trusted scientific advisor across Medical Affairs, HEOR, Clinical Affairs, External Studies, Data Science, Market Access, Government Affairs, Commercial, Marketing, Clinical Education, and other cross-functional teams to align evidence strategies with enterprise priorities.
  • You identify strategic evidence gaps and recommend evidence-generation priorities that address evolving stakeholder needs, healthcare quality initiatives, business objectives, and emerging evidence requirements.
  • You establish and maintain scientific relationships with healthcare organizations, health plans, health systems, professional societies, advocacy organizations, quality leaders, and other external stakeholders to advance scientific exchange and evidence-based collaboration.
  • You provide expert scientific guidance on evidence assessments, healthcare quality initiatives, value-based care strategies, policy discussions, access-related priorities, and scientific engagement, as appropriate.
  • You develop innovative approaches to scientific communication, stakeholder engagement, and evidence translation that strengthen Medical Affairs strategy and support enterprise decision-making.
  • You contribute to scientific publications, congress activities, medical education resources, evidence summaries, advisory boards, research collaborations, and scientific exchange initiatives while ensuring all work meets the highest standards of scientific integrity, compliance, and quality.

What makes you successful:

  • You hold an MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, PA, NP, MSN, MPH, MS, or other relevant clinical or scientific degree.
  • You are recognized for your scientific expertise and bring significant experience in Medical Affairs, HEOR, healthcare quality, population health, evidence strategy, market access, medical communications, or a related healthcare discipline.
  • You demonstrate expert knowledge of clinical research methodology, study design, real-world evidence, health economics, outcomes research, and healthcare quality, with the ability to translate complex evidence into clear, balanced scientific communications.
  • You exercise sound scientific judgment and work independently to solve complex, ambiguous challenges where strategic thinking, evaluation of multiple factors, and evidence-based decision-making are essential.
  • You influence cross-functional teams and external stakeholders without formal authority, building trusted partnerships and providing scientific leadership across a complex matrix organization.
  • You proactively identify emerging healthcare trends, anticipate evolving evidence needs, and recommend innovative approaches that strengthen Medical Affairs strategy and enterprise decision-making.
  • You have demonstrated success developing scientific publications, congress presentations, evidence summaries, medical education resources, or other evidence-based scientific communications.
  • You bring experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, digital health, healthcare technology, or a related industry. Experience in diabetes, cardiometabolic health, continuous glucose monitoring, healthcare quality, population health, value-based care, evidence assessment, payer decision-making, health policy, or external research collaborations is strongly preferred.
  • You demonstrate exceptional execution discipline, accountability, adaptability, and attention to quality while managing multiple strategic priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are committed to maintaining the highest standards of scientific rigor, ethics, compliance, and integrity in all aspects of Medical Affairs.

Common Interview Questions And Answers

1. HOW DO YOU PLAN YOUR DAY?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

4. WHAT DO YOU NEED IN YOUR PHYSICAL WORKSPACE TO SUCCEED IN YOUR WORK?

With this question, companies are looking to see what equipment they may need to provide you with and to verify how aware you are of what remote working could mean for you physically and logistically...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
