Roofing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Roofing Specialist to perform roof inspections, repairs, maintenance, installations, and replacements across residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of roofing systems, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

The Roofing Specialist will work independently and as part of a project team to identify roofing issues, recommend appropriate solutions, and complete assigned work efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect roofs to identify leaks, damage, deterioration, and potential problem areas.
  • Perform roof repairs, maintenance, replacements, and new installations.
  • Install and repair shingles, flashing, underlayment, vents, membranes, metal roofing, and other roofing components.
  • Remove damaged or deteriorated roofing materials and prepare surfaces for installation.
  • Locate and repair roof leaks and water-intrusion issues.
  • Measure roof areas and determine required materials and quantities.
  • Follow project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable building codes.
  • Conduct quality-control inspections before completing projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Safely operate roofing tools, ladders, equipment, and related machinery.
  • Follow all applicable workplace and job-site safety procedures.
  • Communicate project updates, material requirements, and potential issues to supervisors or project managers.
  • Complete assigned projects within established timelines.
  • Provide professional service when interacting with customers, property owners, contractors, and team members.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in roofing, construction, building maintenance, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of residential and/or commercial roofing systems.
  • Ability to identify common roofing defects and determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Strong understanding of roofing materials, tools, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable transportation to project locations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license may be required depending on project responsibilities.
  • Required licenses, certifications, or insurance must be maintained where applicable.
