The Filling & Saving team builds and maintains the core experience for filling and saving your most important data online to make 1Password the easiest and simplest password manager in the world. We’re excited to continue setting the standard in password management as well as building unified sign-in capabilities across platforms and we’re looking for someone who can help us in those endeavors. You will work with Product, Design, and QA teams internally as well as the open-source community to advance our filling and saving experience in an ever-changing environment.
How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.

What we're looking for:
You have 2+ years of experience in software development, with proficiency in TypeScript and React
A drive for and proven experience in software development best practices, and coding standards
You enjoy solving complex problems with a demonstrated ability to tackle problems and propose effective solutions
You like communicating and collaborating and can demonstrate experience in working effectively with team and communicating technical concepts to non-technical cross-functional partners
You’re passionate about testing methodologies and debugging techniques to ensure high-quality code
Bonus points for:
Experience building and maintaining browser extensions for Chromium, Firefox, and/or Safari.
Experience with Rust, Go, or related languages.

Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $111,000 CAD and $155,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
