What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)

"I started as a Package Handler three years ago just to pay for school, and now I am a full-time driver making incredible money. The Teamsters benefits kicked in faster than I expected, and the Earn & Learn tuition program literally paid for two semesters. If you want real UPS warehouse jobs that actually go somewhere, this is the one." - Current Full-Time Driver, Former Package Handler.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Warehouse Package Handler, you are the physical backbone of our package center operation. Working fast-paced sort shifts, you will load, unload, and sort parcels that keep our delivery network running precisely on schedule every single day.

  • Trailer Unloading: Pull packages from inbound 53-foot trailers at high speed, placing every parcel onto the correct inbound conveyor belt for system scanning and sortation.
  • Package Sorting: Read digital destination labels and manually direct parcels to the correct outbound chutes, belts, or route cages based on zip-code routing instructions.
  • Package Car Loading: Stack packages inside UPS package cars in precise delivery sequence order, ensuring every driver can execute their route without searching for a single parcel.

Benefits & Perks

UPS Package Handlers receive Teamsters union medical, dental, and vision benefits, a pension contribution, and access to the UPS Earn & Learn tuition assistance program — up to $25,000 toward your college education. Paid vacation and weekly paychecks are standard from day one.
