Field Merchandiser

Job Description:

  • Execute merchandising initiatives across TA locations as part of a traveling field team
  • Complete store resets, reflows, remodel support, cooler resets and refreshes, fixture changes, planogram implementation, and promotional execution
  • Tear down, move, assemble, rebuild, level, and position retail fixtures and shelving
  • Remove and reinstall shelves, peg hooks, displays, racks, endcaps, and merchandising accessories
  • Execute cooler layouts and reorganize refrigerated merchandise, shelving, facings, and product placement
  • Read and implement approved store layouts, floor plans, planograms, cooler layouts, and merchandising instructions
  • Validate completed sections against approved planograms and layouts
  • Organize backrooms, storage areas, coolers, inventory, fixtures, shelving, signage, and merchandising supplies
  • Assist with deli and sales desk reflow, reorganization, and remerchandising
  • Restock and merchandise products; install shelf tags, price labels, promotional signage, displays, and endcap materials
  • Identify damaged, discontinued, excess, misplaced, or non-planogrammed inventory and follow disposition procedures
  • Collaborate with store management, store teams, vendors, and project leadership
  • Communicate project progress, execution issues, missing materials, inventory concerns, and barriers
  • Leave each location clean, organized, safe, operationally functional, and ready to serve customers
  • Follow BP and TA safety policies, complete safety training, use PPE, and report unsafe conditions or injuries

Requirements:

  • Previous retail, merchandising, store operations, construction/fixture installation, warehouse, or related experience preferred
  • Experience completing retail resets or working from planograms and store layouts strongly preferred
  • Experience with cooler resets, inventory organization, or convenience/travel center merchandising is a plus
  • Ability to read and accurately follow detailed instructions, layouts, diagrams, and planograms
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to execution standards
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work safely and consistently
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a traveling team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly when field conditions differ from plans while escalating decisions appropriately
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet applicable company travel requirements
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds independently
  • Ability to bend, kneel, squat, reach, climb, work at varying heights, and stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work in refrigerated cooler environments
  • Frequent weekly and overnight travel required
  • Ability to travel by automobile and commercial airline
  • Ability to work at TA locations throughout the United States
  • Scheduling flexibility, including early mornings, evenings, overnight work, and occasional weekends
