Compliance ManagerOffice of Technology Licensing is looking for a Compliance Manager that will be responsible for managing sponsor compliance activities across federal and non-federal sponsored research associated with Stanford inventions and intellectual property. This role ensures OTL meets reporting, documentation, and communication obligations required by sponsors and applicable regulations, including Bayh-Dole requirements for federally funded inventions and patents. The Compliance Manager serves as a subject matter expert for sponsor compliance workflows, maintains accurate sponsor and invention records in Stanford's homegrown database (4D), and supports federal reporting and status maintenance in iEdison.The Compliance Manager collaborates closely with internal OTL teams (Licensing, Operations, Finance), as well as external partners including faculty/inventors, Office of Sponsored Research, outside counsel, and other campus units to ensure accurate recordkeeping, timely reporting, and risk-reducing compliance practices.Core DutiesIndependently implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function or program by identifying and executing tasks and objectives, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and assigning resources to achieve the goals of the program.Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the goals of the program or function.Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures for program or function.Represent the program or function as the key contact and subject matter expert within the department, unit or school.
