This role requires strong hands-on engineering expertise to build intelligent, distributed systems. As part of the team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining microservices and production systems.<br><br>The right candidate will be a strong analytical thinker, capable of breaking down complex problems into manageable components and solving them systematically. We value collaboration and a team-first mindset.<br><br><em>Expectations for the Role<br><br></em><ul><li>Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable microservices architectures, including APIs, domain-driven services, and event-driven systems</li><li>Develop and maintain backend services and distributed systems with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and performance</li><li>Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to implement technical strategies aligned with microservices-based and cloud-native design</li><li>Build and enhance data pipelines and platforms to support real-time and batch processing</li><li>Enable/Implement AI-driven capabilities such as intelligent search, recommendations, and decision-support systems</li><li>Contribute to the development and optimization of search systems using technologies such as Elastic/OpenSearch/Solr</li><li>Implement CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing using modern tools (GitHub, Jenkins, CircleCI, Harness)</li><li>Ensure system reliability through monitoring, logging, and observability best practices</li><li>Participate in design discussions and code reviews, following established engineering standards and best practices</li><li>Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and modular solutions</li><li>Support production systems, troubleshooting issues and improving system performance and stability</li><li>Follow responsible AI practices, ensuring quality and reliability of AI-enabled features<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>4+ years of experience in software engineering, including full software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment)</li><li>3+ years of experience building cloud-native applications (GCP, AWS, or Azure)</li><li>4+ Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go, with a focus on backend and API development</li><li>2+ years of experience designing and developing microservices, including API design and event-driven patterns</li><li>Experience using AI development tools such as Claude/Curosr/OpenCode/Codex</li><li>Experience building distributed systems with an understanding of scalability, resiliency, and fault tolerance</li><li>Experience with search technologies such as ElasticSearch/OpenSearch/Solr/Lucene</li><li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices</li><li>Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)</li><li>Experience with observability and monitoring tools, including Splunk, for logging, alerting, and production support </li><li>Proven experience working in highly cross-functional, collaborative environments<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience working on data-driven systems such as personalization, recommendations, or analytics platforms</li><li>Basic understanding of machine learning concepts, statistical methods, or search relevance techniques</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams<br><br></li></ul><strong>EDUCATION<br><br></strong>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)<br><br><strong>Anticipated Weekly Hours<br><br></strong>40<br><br><strong>Time Type<br><br></strong>Full time<br><br><strong>Pay Range<br><br></strong><strong>The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is<br><br></strong>$64,890.00 - $173,040.00<br><br>This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
