Work involves planning/organizing/executing the receipt, inventory, transfer, and disposition of evidence. Assist in establishing program goals and objectives and developing program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations. Assist in developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving section goals. Assist in coordinating program activities. Assign and oversee the work of others. Train and oversee Evidence Technicians; prepare/develop training aids for new or revised methods and procedures.6. Perform evidence technician duties as necessary.7. Attend work regularly and observes approved work hours in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.8. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS: Education - Graduation from a standard senior high school or the equivalent and completion of two (2) years or more of college studies (sixty [60] semester hours credit or more).Experience - Minimum of four (4) years full-time experience as an Evidence Technician, Property Clerk, or job with equivalent duties in a police agency.Substitution Note: Additional full-time experience may be substituted for each year of education required, up to two (2) years. Note: One year of experience will be considered equivalent to 30 hours (one year) of education.Licensure and/or Certification - Must possess a valid driver license from state of residence.
