Financial Reporting Intern

Job Description:

  • Create and implement regulatory reporting files in various taxonomies for public companies using industry-leading software
  • Apply XBRL tagging information to financial statements and statement footnotes
  • Tie out XBRL tagging information within financial statements and statement footnotes to ensure accuracy before filing deadlines
  • Support Professional Services Managers and Directors while learning the core aspects of each position
  • Test features for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Work with teams on special projects, including researching new mandates and creating XBRL tagging examples
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program in Accounting
  • GPA of 3.2+ preferred
  • Technically savvy and competent using spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software
  • Strong communication and leadership skills demonstrated through leadership positions in community, school, or other programs
  • Professional, outgoing, energetic personality with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Attention to detail and follow-through are required
  • Experience using Excel, Word, Google Docs, and similar word processing programs
  • Minimal travel
  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office
